Hilton Cartwright produced a counterattacking half-century to help Southern Brave clinch a narrow four-run victory over Welsh Fire in a tense encounter. The Aussie big-hitter struck five sixes in a blistering 51 not out from just 19 balls, lifting Brave to 129/8 after a rocky start.

Chasing 130, Welsh Fire made a fast start through Jonny Bairstow (22 off 10), but regular strikes from Craig Overton (2-31) left them reeling at 50/4. Tom Kohler-Cadmore (25) and Saif Zaib (21) kept the chase alive, but Fire eventually fell short at 125/8.

Crawley guides Superchargers to easy victory

At Lord’s, Zak Crawley’s composed unbeaten 55 carried Northern Superchargers to a commanding eight-wicket win over London Spirit. Chasing just 136, Crawley anchored the innings with partnerships alongside Dawid Malan (22) and Dan Lawrence (37), sealing the win with 18 balls to spare.

Important to get a win, good all-round performance In white-ball cricket. I try to premeditate a bit more. Good to bat in the Powerplay, but it got tougher later. Thought Rash bowled brilliantly.

Earlier, Spirit were restricted to 135/3 despite solid knocks from Ollie Pope (52) and Jamie Smith (41). Warner’s four-ball duck set the tone for a subdued innings, with the Superchargers bowlers keeping control throughout.

Brave Women stay unbeaten in tight finish

Southern Brave Women kept their perfect record alive with a nervy penultimate-ball victory against Welsh Fire, securing a guaranteed top-three spot. Chasing 112, Brave slipped from 91/3 to 107/7, but held their nerve to scrape home at 112/7.

Maia Bouchier (35) provided the foundation before Devine (19) and Freya Kemp (17) chipped in, though Fire’s bowlers – led by Jess Jonassen and Freya Davies – nearly pulled off an upset.

Superchargers Women thrash Spirit to go second

Northern Superchargers Women stormed into second place with a dominant eight-wicket win over London Spirit. Restricting Spirit to just 101/8, thanks to Grace Ballinger (2-12), Kate Cross (1-20) and Nicola Carey (2-17), the Superchargers then chased the target down with 34 balls to spare.

It was a complete team effort as they outclassed Spirit in all departments, ensuring the playoff race remains wide open.
